Why did you want to become a dentist?
When he was a kid, Dr. Graffeo had a pretty horrific experience at the dentist’s office. He won’t go into the nitty-gritty details about it, but thankfully, another wonderful dentist turned around his perception of the entire field. They were very kind and empathetic every step of the way through treatment, and his appointments there made him want to become a dentist. In fact, he thinks he’s kind of like Hermey in that way!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Graffeo achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the NYU College of Dentistry in 1990. He also completed a residency at his Alma Mater, followed by a post-graduate periodontal mini residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. Over the last few decades, he has completed countless hours of continuing education courses and programs so that he stays current with new, innovative dental technology and techniques. This includes time spent at the prestigious Dawson Academy and Pankey Institute, as well as with SPEAR Education.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When he’s not busy at the dental office, you can usually find Dr. Graffeo with his family, his friends, and other loved ones across the country. He is a true outdoorsman, and his favorite hobbies include snowboarding, cooking, and dabbling in landscape design.
